How to answer those difficult interview questions What do you know about our business? Make sure you do your preparation. Many candidates fall at the first fence because they can’t answer this simple question. Tell us about yourself? Keep it relevant. Prepare a short summary of your experience that relates to the job you are applying for. Include some brief personal details. What are your strengths? Make sure that these relate to the job. There’s no point in emphasizing a strength that is not relevant to the job. Prepare an example of something that you are proud of or that you did exceptionally well in your last job. What are your weaknesses? This is always a tricky question to answer! Try to give an example of something which you are actively working to improve. For example “I don’t feel confident making presentations but I’m taking a public speaking course to overcome this issue”. Why do you want to join us? It’s essential that you have an excellent answer to this question. Explain where you want to go in your career and why this job matches your ambition. Here is another opportunity for you to show that you have done your research about the company. Why should we employ you? You need to emphasise what you can bring to the company that makes you stand out from the competition. List your experience against the job requirement and mention what you accomplished in your previous position. If you were the top sales person tell them! Don’t be modest!
